About me

Alberto Plebani

This is me, Alberto Plebani, an italian 41yo software engineer who develops software since i was 7 :D

I studied computer engineering and after working several years as an employeed software developer, i decided it was time for me to start a new way of working, a different mindset, something that would give me a deeper personal fulfilment.

So i decided to start freelancing. That was 8 years ago and that was one of the best choices of my life.

Freelancing gave me flexibility, let my allocate my free and personal time with a greater degree of fredom, major responability over my works, challenged me more, required me to learn faster, manage customers, make contracts and do all of my best to develop software within agreed deadlines.

That was an amazing experience!

But i have had always the dream to create a product of my own, something where i have the full control over it. And obviously, i dream it to provide me financial freedom :D

So this blog is a timid attempt to start developing a new work future where contract work has a lower impact on my financials.

My technical background

I’ve been professionally developing for more than 15 years but my first complex program was an input routine for my Commodore 64 to accept strings from command line and printing them to screen in some funny ways…i was 7 years old and the code was assembler for the 6502 microprocessor! Honestly, it was true love for the Commodore!

Professionally i’m a Java guy mainly and mainly on enterprise web applications Spring based but i’ve developed native mobile apps for both Android and iOS platforms too. You can find a full list of technologies on my LinkedIn profile.
